  • Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum [website] [tripadvisor] – The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum was created to document, inform, and preserve the Canadian history of war and other aviation artifacts which are important to our history.  Also includes bookable flights.
  • HMCS Haida National Historic Site [website] [friends of HMCS Haida] [tripadvisor] – Resting in beautiful Bayfront park, the HMCS Haida was a Canadian warship which participated in several conflicts and has a rich history.
  • Dundurn Castle [website] [tripadvisor] – Dundurn castle is a 40 room Italiante-style villa built in the 1830’s which was a former site of a fortified military encampment  and home to Sir Allan Napier MacNab former premier of the Province of Canada.
  • Whitehern Museum [website] [online information] [tripadvisor] – The home of the McQuesten family of which  3 generations lived in the house.  A costumed interpreter gives a tour discussing the family history and including information on elements of each time period.
  • Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology [website] [website] [tripadvisor] – An educational trip back in time.  This museum contains two of the oldest steam engines in Canada and quite a bit of the history of Hamilton.
