Travelling to Toronto

via go transit (bus)

Go to the Hamilton Go center at 36 Hunter St. E.  Take the Toronto Express to Union Station.  A one way ticket is $11.50 and a day pass $23.00.

Driving (from mcmaster)

  1. Go East on Main Street West.
  2. Turn right onto the 403 East Toronto.
  3. Continue on 403/QEW Toronto.
  4. Continue on Gardiner Expressway East.
  5. Exit at Bay Street.

Travelling to Niagara Fallls

Driving (From McMaster)

  1. Go East on Main Street West.
  2. Turn right onto the 403 East Toronto.
  3. Exit to QEW Niagara.
  4. Exit to Highway 420 and follow to the falls.

Travelling within Hamilton

Public transportation in Hamilton is provided by the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) [website official] [website unofficial] which operates 34 regular bus routes and 2 seasonal bus routes.  There are 2 express lines which operate on reduced schedules, the A-line #20 which operates from the John C. Munro International Airport to downtown and B-line #10 which goes east west passing McMaster. The cash fare is $2.75 per trip for an adult.

Note: Some routes do not run during the summer, for example the 51 University will not be running in August.
